The Fort Worth (TX) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated has partnered with the Girl Scouts – Texas Oklahoma Plains to bring the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to middle school girls who otherwise would not continue in Girl Scouts at school beyond elementary school. The program participants are middle school girls at Fort Worth ISD’s Morningside Middle School. The Chapter utilizes the Girl Scouts troop infrastructure to focus on middle school students’ leadership development while reinforcing academic concepts related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics or STEM-based concepts.
